Why Can't They Just Fuck Me For Me?!

Episode Title: 'Great Sausage' or 'Can I Call You Dick?'

Synopsis:

Tanya introduces her business called 'Happiness Consultants' in this episode and contacts former acquaintance Lenore (Rebecca Creskoff) to look for clients, naively agreeing to a sampling of Ray on a 'pay what you will' basis which the street-smart Lenore reads as 'free'. Lenore is a personal shopper and therefore 'knows a lot of horny women with cash' so she serves as Tanya's way in to get business for herself and Ray.

Ray is given a $25,000 quotation for repairs on his house. Jessica is still trying to cluelessly bulldoze her way to a relationship with son and daughter Damon and Darby (Sianoa Smit-McPhee) failing miserably in the process.

A doubtful Ray is given lessons by Tanya in proper decorum when meeting clients but none of these apply to the straightforward Lenore who describes herself as someone who 'thinks like a man'. They have sex before Ray leaves in the morning, falling asleep and leaving his wallet by mistake. The episode ends with Ray pleading Tanya to get her wallet back for him. She promises she will do all she can and makes him promise as well that they one day become millionaires so she can quit her job.

Critique:

I mentioned what a great spark Tanya and Ray have when together on my previous critique of the first Episode, and it's very much evident here. When Tanya tries to train Ray to act properly he is as hopeless as can be from the moment he knocks on the door to when he grabs her and tries to lift up her skirt when asked to 'act naturally'. His line 'why can't they just fuck me for me?!' is the best indication of a man thinking like a man - dramatically unaware of what women want and therefore unable to provide the fantasy they crave.

Tanya and Ray are extreme opposites with neither a clue as to how the other thinks and their arguments often make me remember similar situations where I encountered the same with women I've met.
